Philippa Parish

Head of Nutrition

For Philippa it’s all about the food.
She grew up in a household of home grown vegetables and fruit and tasty, nutritious, seasonal food. She learnt to cook from an early age and as her interest in science grew, it seemed a natural choice to study Food Science for her first degree.
Years of working in the Food Industry gave Philippa a clear understanding of the nature of the prepared and processed foods most people eat in this country every day. Unfortunately, it also become clear that the nutritious content of that food was not the main priority of the manufacturers.
Qualifying as a nutritional therapist completed her “foodscape”. A perfect combination of the science of food and its power to help our bodies function at their best.
Philippa’s not about faddy diets and the latest trends in superfoods. She favours a common-sense approach of simple, clearly understood programmes that support the main biochemical systems of the body, along with improving the digestion of the food you eat, managing life’s stressors and promoting restful sleep. All these work together to increase vitality, which helps your body help itself.
It’s music to Philippa’s ears when her clients say they feel “normal” again and smile.
